The challenge
After two decades of artisan bread-making on Vancouver Island, Portofino Bakery earned B Corporation Certification, a globally recognized standard for social and environmental performance. They wanted to announce the milestone in a way that showed the people and practices behind it, not just the logo.
What we made
A 1:36 commercial filmed inside Portofino's production facility, following the bakers, the ovens and the bread from dough to finished loaf. The film ties the certification to three commitments: reducing their carbon footprint, supporting local communities and prioritizing their team's wellbeing.
The result
The film announced Portofino's B Corp Certification on its website and Instagram.
