The trip began from Golden, BC, where we helicoptered into the Lodge with all of our gear. Flying in gave me a chance to survey the breathtaking terrain for the first time, pinpointing the numerous beautiful alpine lakes dotting the landscape. Each morning, we would start our hikes from the lush mountain meadows surrounding the Lodge, slowly progressing into more rugged and sparsely vegetated peaks. No two days were alike, and the environment seemed to change and provide new stimulation with every step that I took. From the breathtaking panoramas to the resilient microorganisms growing on rocks, beauty was everywhere.
