All of Kyosuke’s shoes are individually commissioned and made by hand according to each customer’s specifications. I was blown away by the amount of intricacy and precision that is involved in the process of making a single pair of boots. Kyosuke carefully sketches out each of his patterns, keeping a large folder filled with previous designs. He showed me the very first pair of shoes that he made - despite them being over 10 years old and having been used extensively, they were in excellent condition and had developed a beautiful patina. This is a testament to the quality that goes into his work.
